What is Adobe Lightroom?
Adobe Lightroom (officially Adobe Photoshop Lightroom) is a Creative Cloud subscription-based image organization and editing platform created by Adobe Inc. Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and tvOS are all supported (Apple TV).
Importing/saving, viewing, arranging, tagging, editing, and uploading vast quantities of digital images are among its key functions. White balance, hue, presence, tone curve, HSL, color grading, detail, lens adjustments, and calibration manipulation are among the editing functions in Lightroom, as are transition, spot elimination, red eye correction, graded filters, radial filters, and adjustment brush.
Unlike Photoshop, Lightroom is a non-destructive editing application that saves the edited image as a new file, maintaining the original image separate from any in-program edits.
Lightroom is a library and creation program, while Photoshop involves doctoring features such as adding, deleting, or manipulating the appearance of individual image pieces, rendering text or 3D objects on images, or altering individual video frames.
What formats are Lightroom compatible?
Lightroom is currently compliant with TIFF, JPEG, PSD(Photoshop), PNG, CMYK (edited in RGB color space), and raw image formats, and can store and arrange images until imported into the platform database.
Adobe Lightroom was originally only available on desktop computers. With the arrival of Lightroom Mobile in 2017, it was extended to support mobile operating systems. Later in 2017, Adobe launched Lightroom CC, a new version of Lightroom that is more compliant with Adobe’s smartphone app.
The original Lightroom edition was renamed Lightroom Classic CC, and Lightroom Mobile was renamed Lightroom CC to accommodate the updated desktop version. While the three Lightroom models are identical in several respects, they vary greatly in terms of how they store images, communicate with Adobe’s cloud storage service, and feature parity.
How does Lightroom work?
